Thomas Liska

In the industry since:
Started in the industry in June of 1980 when I engaged my first client, who is still a client to this day.

My family:
Married Hedi on October 1, 1983. We have three handsome sons all doing very well and work in fields where we have a common interest in with them. My parents live in Saskatoon and I still live on the family farm out by Biggar.

Most enjoyable part of my job:
My favourite part of my job is sitting down in front of prospects and clients to determine what they need and how we can help them meet their vision.

Down time:
I enjoy spending my free time fishing, playing music with my band, boating, appreciating the arts both performing and visual, and cheering on the Riders. Most of all, just relaxing on the deck with my wife and a glass of red wine.

Best trip:
Greece was my favourite travel destination of many trips. The inviting hospitality of the people, the remarkable food and scenery all made this one of our most memorable trips.

Making a difference:
I started the Poor Boy Luncheon in the 80’s which is now part of the CJWW Denny Carr Secret Santa Foundation. I continue to support this cause every year. I am also a strong supporter of the Children’s Wish Foundation and what it does.

Biggest influence:
Some of my biggest career influences have been Warren Buffett, Brett Wilson, Al Granum, and Bob Krembil.
